New Bible

003

This is a picture of my raggedy bible. The pages are literally falling out. It’s in a turrible terrible condition but I still love this bible. It’s the first bible where I saw Yah’s name, the NKJV. It was $4.99 at Walmart when I was broke but wanted to see Yah’s name back in 2010. The spine (binding) on the book is GONE! I have to pick it up with ease so none of the pages falls out. I have all types of notes in the small margins…on the top of the pages…on the bottom…everywhere. I have other bibles now but for some reason I always come back to the NKJV.

Today, I bought this new bible. It has my name ‘Ashantiyah’ printed in the right corner. Its binding is like an old fashioned ‘Reader’s Digest’ type book. It feels thick and sturdy. It’s a NKJV and Yah’s name is in Psalm 68:4.

I love that I can now put notes on the sides. Click the image to get a better view. I just don’t know when I will have time to transfer all my notes from the old bible to the new bible…..

Study y’all.

Qodesh Bling-Bling Part 1

001

The chain across my forearm with the menorah is 20 inches and the the chain across my forearm with the dove is 18 inches. Don’t worry about the sleep lines across my arm, lol, it was morning time when I took this picture.

A sista got some fresh new bling 🙂 (ornaments). You know there were 7 lamps in the temple. The dove, Noah’s dove,  has an olive branch in her mouth. Did y’all know that Yonah’s name means dove? I’m sure you know. Something interesting that I was reading in Psalm 68:13 and Psalm 74:19 is that David knew the affection that Yah has for the turtledove and that Yah protects His people like a dove. Did y’all know that Yoseph sacrificed two turtledoves for Miriam in Luke 2:24 according to Levitical law 12:6-8 after Yahoshua was born? It almost seems like foreshadowing doesn’t it? Because later we all know that the Set-apart Spirit descended on Yahoshua like or as a dove (form). That or those dove(s) that went up to Yah came back down…And similar to how the dove came back to Noah…

This is what I have thinking about lately, the dove. Peace.

Having Shalom with Yah

I was reading this book lately and I liked what it said about having peace with the Most High. So I’m going to share this except with you of what I have been reading:

Yah gave Aharon and his sons this special blessing to pronounce on the people of Ysrayl to remind them of Yah’s care for them. This blessing, recorded in Numbers 6:24-26, shows that Yah wants to give us His peace, we simply must receive it.

“May the Most High bless you and protect you. May Yah smile on you and be gracious to you. May Yah show you his favor and give you his peace.”

We cannot escape the concerns of this world (at least 6 days a week) but  we can experience Yah’s peace in the midst of our troubles. Isaiah 26:3 is a wonderful promise for us to claim:

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

Peace is a choice. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us that we will experience the Most High’s peace when we trust Him with all of our needs.

“Don’t worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell Yah what you need and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience Yah’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Messiyah Yahoshua.”

David must have often feared for his safety as he encountered enemies at every turn but he learned how to allow Yah’s peace to flow over him and fill him so that he could rest secure in Yah’s loving arms. He wrote in Psalm 4:8:

“I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone O Yah will keep me safe.”

For months, David had been harassed in the palace and then chased through the desert by King Shaul. Later, during his reign as king, David faced a host of enemies, both from outside Ysrayl’s borders and from within. Eventually, even his own sons Abishalom and Adoniyah tried to overthrow him. He could have been paralyzed with fear. But instead, David was filled with peace, confident in his relationship with his loving heavenly Father. He wrote that he could “lie down in peace and sleep” because he knew Yah would protect him.

You, like David, may be surrounded by enemies who are intent on causing you great harm. Perhaps even loved ones have turned against you. And, if you’re honest, you might have to admit that sleep has not come easily at night, with anxieties and fears filling your dreams. You may even fear for your life.

If so, check out David’s cure for insomnia—his recipe for sleeping “in peace.” The secret? David focused his attention on his Master instead of on his situation, remembering Yah’s power and love. And he prayed about his circumstances and his worries.

David knew that lasting peace comes from Yah alone. HalleluYAH. I hope this post helps someone but I do not know who, Yah did not reveal that to me…

Praise Yah

Be merciful to me, O Yah, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You. And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by. I will cry out to Yah Most High, to Yah who performs all things for me. He shall send from heaven and save me. He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah. HalleluYah. Psalm 57:1-3

Update: My family member is doing much better. She had 90% blockage in her coronary artery (a stent was placed in her artery). She will be on medication for the rest of her life…or until an Israylite is able to heal her…..Thanks for your prayers. AshantiYah
