This demon likes to whip children into submission .
In Germany, they believe a Christmas devil called Krampus (shown above), who is half goat and half demon visits the children on December 6. This holiday is called St. Nicholas Day or Krampusnacht. A gift is put in a wooden shoe outside the house for the children. In Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, men dress as devils also. Italians celebrate Christmas and Befana. La Befana is a Christmas witch that rides a broom and passes out gifts to children on January 5.
