Scripture

I was just reading this a few minutes ago: The term Aramaic is derived from Aram, the fifth son of Shem, the first-born of Noah. See Genesis 10:22. The descendants of Aram dwelt in the fertile valley, Padam-aram also known as Beth Nahreen. The language of the people shifted from Hebrew to Aramaic sometime between 721-500 BC. Therefore, we know that Yahoshua, His apostles and contemporaries spoke and wrote in Aramaic. The Good News spread in this tongue.
